Coil Vessel - Movement & Space
Driving Question: In what ways can clay be used as an art medium to reflect movement, space, and subject matter?
OPTION #1:
--> i can create two vessels using the coil method for construction. Their end result should show movement and space in the use and placement of the coils. they should fit together or their forms should compliment each other.
--> I can allow my coils to be exposed or I can smooth them allowing the artwork to be water tight.
--> I can create a highly refined surface reflecting a high level of effort and difficulty with a creative approach.
--> I can demonstrate successful slip/score technique, attention to surface texture, and appropriate thickness of walls.
Option #2:
--> I CAN CREATE one larger themed vessel USING THE COIL METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTION. THE END RESULT SHOULD SHOW MOVEMENT AND SPACE IN THE USE AND PLACEMENT OF THE COILS.
