Digital Media Art: Class Routines
and Expectations
Major Academic Expectations for Digital Media Art
Students are expected to maintain sketches of ideas and a folder with their ideas or prints cataloged over the course of the semester.
Students are expected to creatively complete all assignments and projects according to the objectives and goals presented for each assignment.
Daily Routines and Expectations
Lecture Days: (get seated, DyKnow, do bell ringer, discuss new lesson, raise hands, prove you learned it)
-Please arrive to class on time, have a pass if you are late.
-Put away all cell phones and IPOD's when you arrive.
-Login on DyKnow for the DMA class when you arrive.
-Begin working on the daily bell ringer on the board as you get seated, discuss it with your table partners.
-Discuss bell ringer as a group; have civil discussions and raise hand to be called on.
-Be attentive when discussing new digital art projects; raise hand with questions.
-Show RESPECT TO EVERYONE in the classroom by being sensitive to others opinions and skills.
-Take the quick quiz to prove you learned the key parts of our lesson.

-Work on projects, discuss projects with peers, check in with Mr. Uhl for assistance/progress check.
-Try your best, think outside of the box, be creative, and keep trying.

-Class time is for working on DMA Projects, that is what you are here for. Finished early? Start a new project or explore an independent digital art interest.
-Sleeping or using time in class on homework for other classes will not be tolerated.
-Your attention is expected when requested by Mr Uhl.
-Foul language and horseplay will not be tolerated.
-Work on all late assignments first, current assignments second.
-All projects should have a reflection submitted when completed and JPEG uploaded to the discussion board.
Rationale and Explanations:
RESPONSIBILITY: Come to class with your laptop and charger; be responsible and bring a charged laptop.
DISTRACTIONS: Put away all cell phones, phone texting/phone-web usage is too much of a distraction from coursework.
-cell phones WILL be confiscated or you may be asked to leave, use it before or after class
FOCUS: Class time is for working on DMA projects, that is what you are here for.
-games such as Running Fred, Minecraft, or wasted time surfing shopping sites will not be tolerated
